Student's Day: where and how is it celebrated?

Student's Day: where and how is it celebrated?

Student years are the part of life when the desire to move forward pushes to new achievements. Wonderful years of youth, joy filled with enthusiasm. Celebrating Student's Day makes sure that students know how to celebrate and enjoy life in all conditions. Every year on November 17, celebrations are held in all cities where student life is booming. However, different countries around the world have their own traditions associated with this day, so let's get to know them together.
Belgian students like to gather on this day with old friends and arrange a themed evening of music in the bars. Portuguese students gather at the monument to the king at midnight and sing songs, and in the city of Coimbra, graduates dressed in the uniform of their university, burn colorful ribbons, symbolizing the end of a faculty. In Denmark, oddly enough, Student Day is considered a family holiday and is not accompanied by loud parties, but friendly jokes, songs accompanied by a guitar in the company of loyal friends, is exactly what Danish youth love. Greek students traditionally bring wreaths to the graves of students participating in the protest movement against the military Hun "black colonels" on the holiday. On this day, students hold rallies and demonstrations to protect their democratic rights and freedoms. At that time in Bulgaria all higher education institutions are closed, there is no education on this day, and young people gather in loud companies and break away from the soul, enjoying life. In Germany, on November 17, sports competitions are held between students, after which participants, together with the winners and fans, gather in pubs and celebrate the victory and Student Day. Unlike European students, young people in US universities like to celebrate loudly and mostly in clubs or in rented houses outside the city.
In Ukraine, students prepare for the Student's Day in advance. At least plan themed parties. Students on this day are not exempt from pairs, but as a bonus pairs can be reduced. That is, as we see, different countries have different traditions and different associations with the holiday.
