Romantic Florence in the first week of September takes the form of a fabulous city. All because on the night of September 6th, the Italian town is immersed in the bright light of flashlights. The festival dates back to the 17th century. and it is preceded by a grand fair for the feast of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary. The completion of the fair is associated with a solemn costume walk, during which each participant carries a paper lantern with a candle. At the end of the turn, all the lanterns are launched into the sky.

Of course, there is something to see besides the lantern festival in the city. First of all, we would like to mention the architectural monument of Florence from the masters of the Renaissance - Santa Maria del Fiore. The building serves as a Catholic temple, which occupies the 4th largest place in Europe. The facade is made in three primary colors: green, red and white.

The Church of Santa Croce is the burial place of Michelangelo and Galilee, as well as more than 300 outstanding historical figures. It is decorated with frescoes by the famous Italian Renaissance Italian painter Giotto.

The Ponte Vecchio residential bridge with observation deck is a place in love with Florence. The bridge survived World War II and served as a trading venue for a long time.

Uffizi Gallery, built on the funds of the noble family of the Medici, from the beginning had the role of an administrative office and over time its walls began to decorate works of art by the famous Italian artists Botticelli, Rafael, Leonardo da Vinci, Lippi, Giotto, Uccello and others. The gallery is formed by 45 halls, some of which are filled with the works of one master only.

The Pitti Palazzo and Boboli Gardens are close to each other. The palace contains works made of silver and more. However, the greatest value for the palace are the works of Titian, Raphael, Cavaraggio and others. Not far from the palace are the gardens of Boboli, a place of tranquility and idyll in the midst of the noisy Florence.

The Basilica of San Lorenzo serves not only as a burial place for members of the Medici clan, but also as the site of the beginning of the architectural revolution, the impetus for which was the departure from the rules of placing statues not along the center of the temple, but along its walls. Michelangelo was the author of this idea.
