Old Kiev or in other words the Upper City is a historic area in the center of Kiev, the heart of the capital and the place of the tourist's pilgrimage. It is here that one of the main characters of the city is located - St. Sophia and St. Michael's Cathedrals, and Golden Gate. Old Kiev at all times was a home for wealthy citizens and political elite, and is now considered to be the center of business activity.
