Illegal passenger transportation in Ukraine has reached an incredible scale, with passengers risking their lives, and losses to the budget of Ukraine, estimated at billions of UAH per year. Illegal carriers are those who work without a license, or who receive it for short-term carriage, and do the opposite. Thus, such carriers violate the Law of Ukraine. The fact is that they do not comply with the rules of technical inspection of vehicles and in the event of an accident, passengers should not expect any compensation. It is mainly illegal immigrants who create serious road accidents, as most of the bus transportation is carried out in conditions that are difficult to call comfortable and safe for the passenger.

In general, the main features that indicate illegal carriers are:

* absence of front and sides of the vehicle, stencils with the specified bold font of the starting and ending points of the route (intermediate stops should also be indicated);

* absence in the salon of visual information for passengers with coverage of the full legal name of the carrier and the insurance company;

* carrying out boarding and disembarkation of passengers in unspecified and not equipped for this purpose;

* no bus stops;

* travel without issuing tickets;

* transportation of passengers on converted freight vehicles;

* failure to comply with the driver's pre-set driving schedule, as departure is made in accordance with the filling of the vehicle with passengers;

Meetings, inspections, registers of illegal carriers and routes are exactly what the Ministry of Infrastructure has included in its plan to combat illegal traffic. Groups for the functioning of the market for road passenger transport were established, which included representatives of the territorial departments of Ukrtransbezbek, the State Tax Service, the Antimonopoly Committee, the National Police, members of the NGO "All-Ukrainian Association of Road Carriers" and the GS "All-Ukrainian Association. However, unfortunately, this is not enough to fully optimize transport routes, reduce regulatory pressure, and increase discipline among carriers.

So, every passenger's life is in his own hands. So be vigilant and do not allow others to harm you! Keep yourselves.
