It turns out that almost 40% of the territory of Slovakia belongs to natural forests and they are hidden real natural pearls in the form of: rocky waterfalls, volcano craters, geysers, caves, canyons. All these places attract nature lovers and hikers every year. We suggest you choose the three with the closest location to Kosice and visit them on occasion.

Not far from Kosice is a famous and adored by tourists - Gerlian Geyser. An artesian well was drilled in its place in the 19th century to find mineral water for the once-existing resort of Gerlani. As a result, after drilling, a strong stream of mineral water was pushed out of the ground, thus forming a geyser. The height reached by water is 20 m above the ground, with an eruption frequency of about 32-34 hours. That is, every other day you can observe such an incredible phenomenon.

The next natural wonder is the Yasov Cave, which is a creation of the Bodva River, or rather the result of groundwater. The entrance to the cave is at an altitude of 257 m above sea level. 720 meters of the route are presented and equipped for inspection. Inside the cave is decorated with a variety of formations formed by time and chemical and physical processes that took place there. It is an interesting fact that historical inscriptions dating back to 1452 have been preserved on the walls. Inside the cave are inhabited by several species of bats.

Gornad Fracture is a narrow valley or canyon 16 km long. To overcome all obstacles when walking through the valley, along the canyon is equipped with many technical equipment for the safety of curious tourists. Approximately 4 km are equipped with bars, ropes, iron and wooden stairs and support brackets.
