Winter is about to take effect! New Year and Christmas holidays will be getting closer. Everyone will be planning their vacations, and may already be looking for interesting suggestions for winter celebrations.

Light festival kicks off next week in Amsterdam. It will last 53 winter nights; the streets will be decorated with light sculptures and admire them, both during hiking through the city and from boats plying the canals.

This year's festival will be held from November 29, 2018 to January 20, 2019. It will be 7 on the Amsterdam Light Festival account. The downtown area will house light sculptures and installations created by designers, artists and architects from around the world. Part of the sculptures will be located along the Illuminade pedestrian path.
All the works of art can be found on the map and go on a solo night trip to Amsterdam. The sculptures that will open from the canals will look incredible - this will be the second part of the exhibition called Water Colors. Throughout the festival, the city will run 75-minute water-color cruises every evening. The boat can be selected open or closed. Inside the latter are heated, so you do not have to worry about lack of heat.

During the Water Colors cruise, it is also interesting to look out the windows of homes that look like fabulous gingerbread houses. Moreover, the residents of the city do not prefer the tulle, so there is a chance to look around a bit of the accommodation itself. So, as soon as the light comes on, you can see life flowing outside the walls of the houses: the DoubleTree by Hilton still has a business meeting, and the estates along the canal are watching TV shows and diners. Cyclists run full of energy and strength along the canals, silhouettes of people looking to get lost in the darkness of Amsterdam's fairy-tale.
