Transcarpathian cuisine - travel tasty!

There was not yet a tourist who came to Transcarpathia and was not surprised by the variety of Transcarpathian dishes, and even more so by the peculiarities of their names. All guests of our region, who once had such an opportunity to live in the Transcarpathian region or to count it for the land of their country, left in our villages and towns delicious and original recipes, which fascinated and transcarpathians. Upon perfection, we have received unique dishes of foreign origin with Transcarpathian color that so pleases both us and our guests.
Transcarpathian cuisine was formed for centuries under the influence of historical factors (until 1945 our land was under the power of various European states - Austria-Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Hungary). So it's natural that it has an international character. Each of the national minorities living in Transcarpathia has made the Transcarpathian cuisine its own, distinct from other dishes and specifics of cooking. Transcarpathian Hungarians: Bohrach, Goulash, Perklet, Poprikash, Lecho, Rokot-Krymli, Lakes Bake. Transcarpathian Romanians - all sorts of torches, Transcarpathian Slovaks - stratagems, carbonates, bays; Czechs - Knedliks and Segedin goulash, Germans - schnitzels and old recipes of beef in a Swabian. Zakarpattian Jews offer their traditional dishes: a challet, a liver in European style, a stuffed fish, Roma - a clump, pumice, steamed stew, fried scars.

However, Transcarpathian cuisine is also rich in original dishes that have come down to us since ancient times, and are not found in any menu of other peoples - pickles, shovels and turnips, beaks and many other dishes. Transcarpathians very much love fragrant and spicy food and actively use red paprika paprika and black pepper "popper", as well as garlic, onions, cumin, and all spicy herbs - "Chabrik" (thyme, thyme), "zeller" ( celery), dill, parsley. Transcarpathian cuisine is also used to use sauces - often sour cream, mushroom and tomato.
So, having warmed the appetite, it's time to take the main course - to taste the transcarpathian dishes.

And in order to make it easier for you to travel through Transcarpathia and to get acquainted with local dishes and color, we leave for you the phone numbers of all bus stations in the area where you can buy tickets to any corner of Ukraine and even Europe.
